Olwen has created an extraordinary place to stay. Every room astonishes; They are fantasies centred round large, ornate beds, sometimes four-poster, sometimes king-size. One room is like a flower garden, another like a cool forest; the next features a regal -style bed with a velvet crown supported on a wine coloured velvet draped frame, the deep burgundies, pink and reds refreshed by real lilacs.

You have to see them to believe them. One room has over 400 yards of material in its draperies. Olwen is enormously enthusiastic about the house and shows great daring in her designs.

Eating here is an experience too. Wonderful breakfasts are taken in a flowered filled conservatory that again you could not possibly imagine.

The whole house is secluded on a hill surrounded by wonderful monkey puzzle trees and rhododendrons with specially designed walks through the woods.

At the prices Olwen and Douglas are charging this is a special place indeed.
